Review Of The Human Touch HT 7120 Massage Chair Recliner

December 22nd, 2010 No comments

Human Touch has a wide variety of massage chairs for virtually any need and budget. This review will focus on the HT-7120 massage recliner by Human Touch. This recliner is in the $2,000 to $3,000 price level. This review is in 5 main parts which include warranty coverage and customer service, comfort and ergonomics, ease of use, key features and massage therapy. Each of these areas can earn up to 20 points each. An overall rating is given by summing up the areas for a total possible rating of 100. Let us see how the HT 7120 rates in this review.

Warranty Coverage and Customer Service: We start with warranty, since this is the consumer’s long term protection against the occurrence of defects in workmanship. The warranty coverage for the HT-7120 is 3 years on the structure, 1 year on parts and 90 days labor. Labor is provided for 90 days and Human Touch will cover the shipping to and from the customer during this period. There is in home technician service available, but at the customer’s expense. This is a very light warranty by industry standards. Customer service is provided by Human Touch and they are competent at diagnosing problems. We rate the warranty coverage for this recliner a 12.

Comfort and Ergonomics: With any massage chair design, ergonomics is an important aspect of design for comfort and relaxation. We like the ergonomics of the HT 7120. It has a very contemporary design, yet it fits the body well and is very comfortable to sit in. The controls are laid out well and positioned in good locations. The leg ottoman can be adjusted in the width of the wells, but you are unable to extend the leg ottoman. This recliner earns an 18 in this category.

Ease of Use: With so many new features being added at a furious rate to massage chairs, we are always concerned with the average user being to navigate the controls and other functions. Human Touch has a very nice remote control with this chair. It is slim and fits easily in the palm. The controls are well laid out and it is simple to navigate the functions. We are impressed with the controller and it does not come with a remote stand, but tucks away in a special pocket. The only manual control is for the rotating the leg ottoman. Most users need to lean quite a bit forward to reach the control and then you need to use your feet to rotate it. The HT-7120 earns a 19 in ease of use.

Key Features: The features that stand out in the HT 7120 are the compression massage and the width adjustment in the leg ottoman. The compression massage is similar to a sports therapy massage. Sports therapy massages use deep tissue and firm pressure to stimulate the muscles. The HT-7120 uses a rocking motion and stroking. The rocking motion loosens the spinal joints and the stroking elongates and applies pressure to the muscles. The width adjustment of the leg ottoman is a novel function. The channel can be set to different widths to better fit your calves or feet. The channel has airbags, so the compression can be increased or decreased by changing the channel width. The 7120 gets an 18 in this category.

Massage Therapy: You get a virtual arsenal of massage therapies with the HT-7120 recliner. Select from 3 pre-set programs, 5 manual massage techniques and 3 height adjustments for the back. The 3 pre-set programs include sore muscle relief, energy rejuvenate and auto-demo. The 5 manual massage techniques include rolling, kneading, compression, percussion and vibration. The height adjustment enables you to set where you want the massage on your back. Additionally, you can stretch your lower body, or add heat to your lumbar area as well as massage your feet and calves. This recliner gets a 19 in this category.

So how does the HT 7120 rate overall? We give this recliner an 86/100. The main area of concern is the short warranty per the industry average. This is a well designed and constructed massage chair and we don’t necessarily understand the short warranty. The massage chair boasts some excellent massage therapies with the compression massage. You get lower lumbar heat controls and a stretching function. If a mid range model is something you are considering, then the Human Touch HT 7120 may be a good massage chair recliner option.

Review of Panasonic EP3222 Shiatsu Massage Chair

November 30th, 2010 No comments

This product review will evaluate the Panasonic EP3222 model massage chair recliner. The EP 3222 is part of the Real Pro Elite series. Panasonic has a full range of massage chairs and this model is one of the high end chairs that they make. This review will analyze the features, functions and warranty coverage of the EP-3222 massage chair.

One of the long term concerns when purchasing a product such as a massage chair is the warranty coverage. The warranty is your long term protection from problems due to factory defects and workmanship. Although top brands such as Panasonic do a great job making these chairs, problems do occur. Make sure you get adequate warranty coverage on any massage chair you are thinking of getting.

The EP-3222 Real Pro Elite comes with warranty coverage from Panasonic. Panasonic gives you 3 years parts and 1 year labor on this chair. This coverage is below what other manufacturers give you. Most manufacturers provide in home technician service for at least 90 days and in some cases for up to 1 year. Panasonic does allow you to purchase an extended warranty at additional cost.

An excellent feature that is integrated into the EP 3222 is known as a body scan. The body scan creates an electronic map of your back. It identifies key points like your shoulder height and width of your neck. Also, it identifies your acupressure points in your back of which there are almost 100 in all. The information is then used to give you a truly unique massage.

Another innovative feature of the EP3222 is the floating massage mechanism. The floating massage mechanism is patterned after the hand movements of a master masseuse. The floating mechanism consists of 2 to 4 firm rubber massage heads. These massage heads can very accurately simulate certain massage movements like pressing with the heal of the hand, stroking with the palm of the hand, thumb-like kneading and thumb-like pressure.

Panasonic has built into the EP 3222 an arsenal of massage treatments and options to help relieve any aches and pains you might have. There are 6 pre-programmed massages which can be activated at the touch of a button. You also have a solid variety of manual massages including Swedish, Kneading, Compression, Tapping, Shiatsu and Rolling.

Do you need relief of the lower body? The EP-3222 delivers! Panasonic incorporates an air massage system with an incredible 33 air bags. Each air bag targets a specific muscle, so you get a tremendous coverage. The air massage system provides an effective compression massage technique. This provides a firm squeezing action. This squeezing action helps to soothe and relieve sore muscles.

The EP 3222 comes with a voice guidance system which can guide you through targeting specific relief. This is helpful for first time users or when you want to try something new. The remote also has a memory function. The memory function remembers the exact settings for the last five minutes of a massage you just received. If you like what just happened, you can store it in memory for the next time.

Other advanced features include a stretch function for the lower body. When this function is activated, the leg ottoman will raise horizontal. The airbags will activate to hold the feet. The leg ottoman will begin to lower slowly. This stretches the leg, knee and hip to relieve tension from stiff muscles. This also helps increase your flexibility and range of motion.

The Panasonic Real Pro Elite series has some other massage functions that we did not review like the Swede-Atsu that provides realistic feeling massage therapy. This is also incorporated in the EP3222 model. The massage therapies are good and the variety will enable you to get practically every type of ache, pain or tension relieved on demand. Our only concern with Panasonic is the short warranty on the labor. Other than that the EP 3222 is a solid massage chair and worthy of your further consideration.

Find out all you can about the Real Pro Elite with a Panasonic Massage Chair Review. Read all you can about the advanced functions and very effective massage therapy offered by the EP 3222. We feature Panasonic Massage Chair Reviews and review the full line. We also have reviewed many of the top brands, so check out our massage chair reviews before you buy.

Looking For Interesting Shower Curtains and Shower Doors

November 26th, 2010 1 comment

When remodeling the bathing room, numerous consumers are faced with the choice between installing shower curtains or shower doors. Previous to choosing first one or the other however, it is crucial to contemplate the advantages and drawbacks to each one, because making the bad selection at the moment could have costly or annoying consequences later. Here are couple of the significant pros and cons for curtains and shower doors.

Bathe Curtains

The main benefit to shower curtains is certainly that they are inexpensive and simple to change. Not only that, but they are widely accessible in shops and a lot of other places. Additionally, these are found in a huge diversity of designs, colors and textures, which means that matching the existing bathroom decor or finding the perfect curtain to transform the look of a dull and monotonous bathroom is never a problem.

Additionally, being affordable, they can be changed when they develop into old or simply when one needs a change of style with no breaking the bank.

These do have their downsides, however. For example, when these are left outside of the bathtub, they can drip water throughout the bathroom floor, which not just makes a mess but is a potential security hazard as well since it is incredibly easy to slip on the wet floor tiles or linoleum set up in most bathrooms. Shower curtains also tend to build up mold and mildew and might be time consuming to wash. Additionally, older ones made of PVC are known to have chemical substances that are unsafe to human health.

Shower Doors

Shower doors are obviously a more expensive option to shower curtains, but they do have a number of important benefits more than curtains. For example, a strong shower door will last for years, compared to shower curtains that must be constantly replaced. Glass shower doors are also very easy to wash because these do not attract mold like curtains do. All these take to wash is a little glass cleaner and a rag or mop. And while they are not available in as various colors and models as shower curtains, there are still numerous versatile and stylish designs to select from.

The downside to shower doors, aside from being more expensive to install, is that they have a tendency to accumulate scum in and around the shower door tracks and edges. If these regions are not constantly cleaned, the buildup might become very unsightly, not to mention difficult to remove. The constant exploitation that shower doors endure (sliding and banging) might also cause them to become loud and rickety. If these are not right maintained or become broken in some other way, replacing them is expensive.

Furthermore, though they generally do a much better job than any curtain will, if these are not closed well, they can have some of the same problems with leaking water as shower curtains do.

Finally, the proper selection will depend on individual wishes. Consider the relative benefits and drawbacks of each and the circumstances while making a selection.

Product Review Of Sanyo DR6700K Health Massage Chair

October 14th, 2010 No comments

There are many massage chairs on the market today and you have more choices on the types of features and functions. We will provide a product review of the Sanyo DR 6700K health massage chair. This is a higher end massage chair from Sanyo. Our product review will cover the more important features of the massage recliner. We will also touch on the warranty included with the Sanyo DR 6700 massage recliner.

Warranty coverage is the dryer of the subjects that we are obligated to cover, but in the long run it can be very important. Massage chairs are complex machines with both electrical components and mechanical mechanisms. Quality levels continue a steady improvement, but there are occasional issues. Make sure you protect yourself with an adequate warranty.

So what is the warranty coverage for the Sanyo HEC-DR6700 massage chair? Sanyo makes it easy, since they offer the same warranty on all chairs. That is good for their low end chairs but less sufficient for their higher end models. There warranty is 3 years on the roller mechanism, 1 year parts and labor, and 1 year in home technician service. The 1 year parts and labor is a bit cheap for a high end chair, but the 1 year in home service is

The DR 6700 comes with 4 automatic massage programs. These are one-touch massage programs. They are based around the following themes: Stiffness, Recovery, Fine and Relax. With the touch of a button, the DR6700 will provide a full body massage for the time set. These programs run the whole chair, so all you have to do is sit back and relax.

There are also many manual options for your relaxation needs. If you have a particular trouble spot or area, then you can switch to manual mode and use a manual massage. The manual massage techniques are as follows: Gap, Shiatsu, Kneading, Tapping and Combo. Each of these techniques is specialized with a particular movement to loosen or revitalize tight and sore muscles.

There are many adjustments you can make with the in the manual massage mode. You can select the roller width adjustment. The rollers in the chair back can be set at a wider or narrower depending on where you would like the massage to penetrate. Also, you can adjust the intensity of the massage. You can make it softer or more vigorous. If you are tender, then a softer mode may be appropriate, whereas if you want deeper penetration you can set it stronger.

Another set of functions integrated into the DR 6700 are manual massage courses. Manual massage courses will move the roller mechanism in a certain zone or region of the body. For instance, you can select neck and shoulders as the region and then select the kneading massage. The kneading will be done exclusively in this area for the duration of the massage.

One of the interesting electronic features put into the Sanyo Dr-6700 is called the Stiffness Detector. The Stiffness Detector measures your perspiration level and monitors your pulse rate, but it doesn’t check if you are lying! The information is then read by the on-board computer and the massage program will target areas of higher tension.

There is also a lower body air massage system built into the DR6700. The air system controls tactically placed air bags in the leg rest to soothe and relieve tight muscles. The feet are in for a treat with the acupoint nodes imbedded in the foot wells. Sanyo also places sole warmers to keep your feet warm during the massage. This also helps to improve blood flow and reduce swelling. Your feet are in for a treat.

The DR-6700 massage chair has some very nice features to compliment its massage therapy. The stiffness detector is certainly unique, but actually pretty effective. Good thing it doesn’t ask you questions! The manual massage treatments like the Grip massage are fabulous. We do like the automatic programs that Sanyo has developed. We wish the labor for the warranty coverage was a little longer. Overall, this is a solid health massage chair that can meet your long term massage therapy needs.

Be informed and take your time and research the best massage chair for your needs. We always like to point out that there are so many massage chair companies on the market. It is sometimes difficult and confusing for customers to find chairs from good, reputable companies. It is important to stay with top tier manufacturers in this industry. For instance, the top tier companies will have retail clients and national distribution. Beware of one-man import companies, because you may end up with now warranty coverage in the long run. Omega Massage is one of the top tier companies, so rest assured they will be here down the road.

Omega provides good warranty coverage for an entry level massage chair. The Orion comes with a 1 year warranty on the frame and 6 months on parts. Customer service is always another important issue. If you have an issue, then how well does the company handle these situations? Omega provides good customer service. They are responsive and diagnose problems quickly and accurately. We have had an excellent track record with Omega over the years.

The first thing you notice about the M-2 is its very sleek design. This chair looks more like an executive chair than a massage recliner. Omega made a very attractive design with the sweeping, padded armrests to the thin chair back. We like the silver trim on the side panels gives it a nice designer touch. We feel this chair can compliment any room.

The M-2 comes with both automatic and manual massage techniques. You can select from 3 automatic massages ranging in duration of 5, 10 or 15 minutes. These operate the chair and provide a full body massage. There are 3 manual massage techniques. The manual techniques are kneading, swaying and finger press or rolling. You can also choose from 3 different back courses. These target the full back, the lower back or the upper back. The remote is slim and fits in a slot underneath the armrest.

The recline on this lounger is from 115 to 170 degrees. The 170 degree recline helps to take the weight off your back and better distribute it for a more relaxing massage. The M-2 has 23 inches of travel for the roller mechanism for the back massage. We like that the chair back is relatively thin and the upholstery covers the back rather than have a hard plastic shell. The chair back and the leg rest operate with manual pistons rather than are motorized. This nice thing with the manual pistons are they bring either the chair back or the leg rest up by themselves.

The Orion has a vibration massage which can be set to three levels of intensity in the seat. This is a soothing massage to help improve the blood flow in the thighs and buttocks. There are 8 rotary massage heads built into the seat. The rotary massage heads can be set to three levels of intensity. They provide a penetrating massage for the buttocks and thighs. There is also an extra seat cushion for dampening the massage intensity.

The leg rest is extendable. You can extend it out an additional four inches. This is great to position it exactly where you want on your calf or feet. The leg rest has a mechanical massage system built in to provide a very thorough and invigorating massage for the calves. The massage intensity or speed can be adjusted to 3 different levels. The leg rest can also be adjusted in a 90 degree range and will come up to the full horizontal position. The leg rest works with a manual lever. The piston will push the leg rest up, but the user must use their legs to push it back down when you are done.

The feature list of the Orion is nothing short of impressive for an entry level massage chair. They even have incorporated a negative ion generator which removes stale oxygen away from your body to provide a healthier massage. The sway massage is particularly effective. It quickly loosens tight back muscles and helps you to relax. You get one of the best warranty coverages from one of the top manufacturers. You simply cannot beat the M-2 Orion massage chair recliner in this price range.

Room Divider Screen – Tips On Learn How To Use Them

July 30th, 2010 No comments

A room divider screen is the best addition for any area or space in the home. They could be both aesthetically pleasing and functional at the same time. There are loads of themes for divider screens that you can select from. You could choose a few of the most trendy designs or simply choose one that’s plain and simple. If you can’t decide, you can ask an interior designer to assist you. Here are some tips and recommendations to help you out

Light rooms – Any kind of partition would look excellent in a light room. A number of screens let the natural light through. Others are solid and provide some shade to an otherwise overly vibrant room. In this case, the choice is yours. If you would like extra privacy from big open home windows, then a darker or more solid divider may be the thing for you. In case you’d rather let the natural light shine through then a light see-through screen could be ideal.

Dark rooms – If you would be putting the divider in a dark room, lighter screens would be your best option. See-through types or dividers with Japanese paper materials are ideal. Light screens that let sunlight go through would make the area seem larger, fresh and livelier.

Small rooms – Some people may think that a room divider screen doesn’t belong in a small apartment. But, what if you’ve already fallen in love with a Balinese divider that you’ve stumbled upon? The intricate wood carvings are like a work of art in itself. You could mount this divider in your wall just like a painting. Who said that dividers were simply created to stand on the floor? This would transform the image of your house, from plain and simple to creative and cultural. You can even put the screen at the back of a plant or behind a furniture.

Huge rooms – Huge houses with huge open spaces and empty areas can actually make use of room divider screens. The dividers can serve as a barrier between the dining room and the living space or in other sections you need extra privacy in, where you want a divider in between. This is an effective option to building permanent walls or dividers for sections you want to separate or divide or larger rooms that you simply need to turn to smaller ones.

High traffic areas – The kitchen area, rest room and lobby have individuals passing through on a relentless basis. A room divider screen could also be practical and useful in these areas, particularly within the bathroom. Use a more heavy-duty screen for these areas so it will last much longer. The Real Pro Ultra is designed to help you achieve therapeutic muscle relaxation and increase blood flow throughout your body. This is a massage chair designed to help promote good health. The Real Pro Ultra series is a technology platform for the high end health recliners from Panasonic. I give you an in-depth look at the Panasonic EP-30006 massage chair.

There are a number of different ways to get a customized massage with the Panasonic EP 30006 massage chair. It contains four different automatic massages. These being massages which include Swedish, deep tissue, shiatsu and a stretching massage.

This recliner also allows you to program massages as well. It has a memory function which records the last five minutes of a massage program. You can save up to 24 different programs as you like. It accommodates up to four different users as well.

You can get a customized massage with the advanced body scanning. A body scan is performed at the start of your massage. This information is then fed into the chairs computer which then customizes the massage based on your body scan.

Did you know that there are almost 350 acupoints in your body? The Panasonic EP-30006 massage chair knows that you have almost 100 on your neck, back and shoulders alone. It makes a scan of your back and records the location of these important acupoints for stimulation.

The Real Pro Ultra series has the new Junetsu massage. This is an ultra fine kneading massage. It is a good way to target knots in your back and shoulders for relief.

A grasp massage is a good way to relieve tightness in the shoulders. The advanced quad style rollers have the ability to close and also to make a fist. Specific movements are used in the grasp massage for relieving the shoulders.

One of the ways to have full body massage capability is with an air massage system. Specially designed airbags are used to squeeze different muscles of the body. An air pump directs pressurized air to provide soothing compression relief.

One of the luxury features is powered recline. This allows you to change the angle of the chair back or the leg rest to find a comfortable position. Recline the chair back and raise the legs to find a comfortable position to receive your massage.

This massage chair comes with specialized reflexology plates for the feet. It provides a full reflexology foot massage. This is a great way to relieve tired and aching feet after a long day.

There is also a stretching system contained in this recliner as well. You can stretch out the arms and shoulders. You can also stretch out the legs. This helps to alleviate stiffness in your lower back, hips and thighs.

The air massage system covers a good percentage of your body. The shoulder massage is particularly relieving and helps to stimulate the lymphatic system. This is important in helping to cleanse your body of toxins.

The leg rest is unfortunately not extendable. Instead, the foot portion of the leg rest flexes 90. This enables you to insert your legs through the leg rest. This is the only way to accommodate taller users.

As you can see there are a variety of different technologies contained in the Panasonic EP 30006 massage chair. You can choose from a variety of therapeutic treatments. There are over 1000 massage variations in this recliner alone. The Panasonic Real Pro Ultra EP-30006 massage chair provides you with full body coverage at the touch of a button.
