Clean And Alternative Sources Of Electricity

May 30th, 2010 No comments

Do you pay more for your electricity than you would like? If you had a chance, would you be thrilled to skip your electric bill and pay nothing instead?

Did you know that you can create power for your home from your own back yard? What if you could set up a power generator on your own property and use renewable energy to fuel your needs?

If you are interested, you need to strongly consider both solar and wind energy. If you combine the two, you’ll have all of the electricity you could ever need.

Solar power uses sunlight to generate energy. Think about it. Sunlight is everywhere and the sun is going to be around for a while – this is an inexhaustible energy source. It’s clean also.

Better still, with solar energy there are no emissions or pollution to worry about. You can collect solar energy and it can be stored for later use also. Once the up front cost of installation is done, the upkeep and operation costs are pretty slight.

There is a hefty upfront cost. Installation is an investment. If you have the money to invest, though, it is a good idea. The generator will end up paying for itself since you won’t have power bills for years and years to come.

Wind power is also a natural, safe, clean and inexhaustible resource. Both sun and wind are widely available in most places, and many people suggest that this is the future of energy. It will take a while to perfect the technology such that it becomes less expensive and more widespread, but once this happens we won’t have any more energy shortages.

Presently it is expensive to install either solar or wind generators. Still, the costs of these methods are coming down already. As time goes on, the technology will get less and less expensive, bringing the cost of these power sources into most people’s grasp.

T5 Grow Lights: From Aquariums To Hydroponics

T5 grow lights are compact high output fluorescents has a cooler effect than the HPS grow lights. Additionally, it also operates on lower energy levels, therefore is more economical. Depending on the age of the plant, the grow lights are adjusted according to the height that the growth has reached. On the maximum level of about 4 feet, there should be about 8 lamps to stimulate sunlight to a full grown plant.

Depending on the growth of the plant and how you want it to grow, the T5 grow lights are adjusted in wattage to stimulate budding, flowering or fruiting. The combination of low wattage and high wattage will be a general growth stimulant. T5s is different from other T lamps with differentiating numbers of 8 or 12. These are for starter growth and low lighting. The higher the number, the less number of kilowatts is expended.

Firs invented for aquarium lights to provide light without too much heat which can kill the fish, the gardeners found that the T5 lights also stimulated plants’ growth successfully, just as the hotter HPS lights did. This realization was first put into practice years ahead in Europe. It is only now that the reality has reached the American gardeners who are getting more conscious of energy conservation, a practice that European have been at for more than twenty years.

The artificial light covers the essential red and yellow spectrum important for plant development that is needed in indoor gardens as well as hydroponic farming. With the T5 grow lights, the success of these alternative gardening methods have made it even easier to produce vegetables and fruits in times when in the past it was a foregone loss.

The innovations on the uses of LEDs and T lights as well as those of the HPS has made growing plants indoors and in the middle of dark winter possible thereby making food production better. With these lights, there is no need to import vegetables from other countries which can be very expensive. The desire for home grown vegetables is no longer a problem with these grow lights.

New Social Network

[I:http://buildernews.galanter.net/files/2010/05/MarioSilverman0.png] Have you ever wanted to have green energy at home to save money, but couldn’t afford it? Perhaps you are in that situation now?

If so, you are not alone. There are millions of Americans out there right now who want Solar, Wind Power, or other forms of renewable energy but just do not have the money for the up front out of pocket expense that comes with traditional solar company installations.

There is a plethora of information online about how to do these things yourself, but what if you have questions? Are you going to be left to the unresponsive site owner that sold you the DIY e-book to respond? Not likely to happen!

So what should a Green Energy Social Network provide its users? Here is a small list:

1.) Provide Easy Access to other users- this is fairly basic, but how easy is it to access other users on TreeHugger.com?

2.) Provide HIGH QUALITY Info that can save your users lots of money every year- again, this seems simple but most “green social networks” only give opinions regarding the “evil” job creating Republicans or the greenest vacation spots.

3.) Give Users simple ways to respond so they can help each other with their DIY Energy projects!

That’s all there is! Of course, couple that with a fancy site and some great living info and you are all set! I get disgusted with these “green social networks” that act as if they are some great gift to the world, when the people who run and write for those networks are the very one’s destroying our society. Seriously, are bamboo floors or “sustainable furniture” going to put any money back in your pocket? Not at all.

There is a solution. There is a social network, a Green Energy Network called GreenFuelSpot.com. They specialize in DIY Alternative Energy, all the way from DIY wind energy to Hydrogen fuel cells, HHO and solar power. All designed to be easily made at home, to save you money and fuel.

This green social network does not destroy society’s fabric, but instead embraces job creation, and assists in reducing American dependence on foreign oil by showing people how to make fuel at home. At GreenFuelSpot.com, you can learn all of these things, and then get help with any issues that may come about, all for free!

GreenFuelSpot.com is a Social Network that focuses on DIY Green Fuels and Electricity to help save people just like you money.
